Depends what you are going to do with it. If you have an app that's
multithreaded or uses parallel processing like say high performance //l
Fortran then the dual processors are a benefit. Likewise if you have two
apps that can be allocated essentially on one chip each then thats a win. If
say you run one app that does lots of floating point work and lots of I/O
but isn't multithreaded then 2 CPUs might help as one can do the crunching
while the other handles the system stuff. You mileage WILL vary.
What's the app you are planning to run?

Just want to pick on your brain on some performance related question on
the Ultra 2.
A. Ultra 2, 1 x 300/2MB UltraSPARC II, Creator 3D
B. Ultra 2, 2 x 250/1MB UltraSPARC II, Creator 3D
Which config will be faster and better? Same amount of RAM: 512MB.
