The O'Reilly "BIND and DNS" book is generally considered to be
authoritative, but doesn't cover the new features in BIND 9 (at least, the
one I have doesn't; there might be a newer edition available).  It'll help
you with the zone files, and using the book in conjunction with "man
named.conf" will help you with the new features in BIND 9.
