<P> <BR><BR></P>First, you can run this command # /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/prtdiag -v          This command will tell if there is any error in the system, if no error, check the powersupply by replacing it. If the system still crash, you may need to change the cpu. Sometime you need to try couple of stuff.</DIV>

<DIV></DIV>>Hello,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>One of our servers, a Sparcstation 20, after years of being reliable
<DIV></DIV>>has begun to crash continuously. I have not changed any setting or
<DIV></DIV>>software on this machine recently so I don't think it is software
<DIV></DIV>>related.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Also everytime it crashed, I go in to check on it, it is an
<DIV></DIV>>airconditioned room and the plastic case is too hot to touch.
<DIV></DIV>>All the fans in the case seem to be working but it just seems
<DIV></DIV>>to be overheating which I presume causes the crash.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>DO you think the machine is just past its use by date?
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I have removed all external disks from this machine so it
<DIV></DIV>>is jusst down to the basics...
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>has anyone ever had a similar problem?
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Thanks,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Melinda
