i've got a digital camera that i use all the time. i download the pictures
off of the camera to my laptop using the USB connector to the camera. then i
ftp them over to my sparc20 so that i can crop/resize/edit the picture to be
used however it is meant to be used (external website, internal website, to be
printed, etc...)
what i would like to do is cut the laptop out of the equation. the only thing
i used the laptop for is to get the pictures from camera to sparc20, is there,
perhaps, a way to do this? the camera has USB and a compactflash slot. can
i get a compactflash PC Card caddy thinger and get a PCMCIA reader for the
sparc20? (even though it's in the back, i still wouldn't have to kick the
person who's using the laptop off just so i can get the pictures off of the
camera)
a) does Solaris 8 support the SBus PCMCIA thinger.
b) if so, does it support reading compactflash cards.
c) is there some odd chance that there is an SBus USB device. [1]
thanks everybody,
-brian
[1] if not, there SHOULD be, that would be cool.
