[SunHELP] sparc classic, sunos 5.5.1, how do i get root? (yes,i own the box)

i don't, no.   i have a cd of solaris 7 that someone gave me.  i tried
booting off of it using an external cdrom i have.  but, it gave errors
saying there's nothing there.

for all i know though, the cdrom drive might not work.
