All,
I seem to have a problem with my printer spool. I have an HP Laserjet 4000
on our network, and Im trying to setup printing services on an Ultra 60,
Solaris 2.6. I have used the jetadmin utility to test the configuration of
the printer and all is okay. Communication should be happening!
However, the printer spool seems to be incorrectly configured. I get the
message below when I try to use the following command:
/usr/ucb/lpr -P printer1_1 /usr/users/myuser/testprint.txt
Seen in root's mail:

Subject: Status of lp request printer1_1-58
Content-Length: 341
Your request printer1_1-58 destined for printer1_1
The job title was: /etc/protocols
submitted from: mymachine
at: Thu Dec 20 18:33:25 2001
encountered an error while printing on printer printer1_1.
Printing stopped with an exit code of 2.
Reason for failure:
printer1_1: cannot access file printer1_1-58
------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems the file cannot be found. So, it's possible the file just never
got created, or is not accessible, or is in the wrong location?
Any and all help would be appreciated, really!
Thanks,
Jonathan Scott
