is this on solaris 8?  i don't see it:
bacall [~]% which tcpconfig
tcpconfig not found
bacall [~]% locate tcpconfig
bacall [~]% uname -sr
SunOS 5.8

anyway all i want to do is to add additional IP addresses which will
come up when the machine is rebooted.

seems like this shouldn't be difficult to do.....
