This is called IP Multipathing. You will need 4 IPs for your 2 NICs, assign
them to one group and set either for load balancing or just hot standby. Go
to Sun web site for detailed instructions, they're fairly easy to implement.

Hi -
I'm rebuilding our network core here and since we're going to have 2 core
switches I'd like all of our key devices to have 2 NIC's. My Novell &
Windows
machines already have "teams" of NIC's where each card has the same IP
address
and goes to a different switch in the array. I've not yet seen a solution
like this for Solaris 8 although I'd be very surprised if one does not
already
exist. Any hints/links/etc would be greatly appreciated! The E3500 already
has a 2nd NIC in it, I just have to get it working alongside the existing
one.
