sshd is Secure Shell daemon. If you are not familiar, ssh (secure shell) is
a cli terminal access protocol that functions like telnet (with some
additional cool features like port forwarding). ssh is more secure than
telnet (nothing is more unsecure than telnet except ftp) and uses encryption
throughout the connection (for password too).
ssd? no idea.
