Very simply done.
I do this all the time especially with U10s.

Halt the server and install identical drive.
Boot to single user mode.
dd if=/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 of=/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s2 bs=10k

When done halt system and power down.
Move new drive to boot drive position on drive cable
and test.

Everything is copied with this, including all boot
info.
