Won't work. Forget it. The OS has to support the processor, and the IIe =
and III
are only supported with the latest Solaris 8 revision (10/00 or later) - =
even
Solaris 8 3/00 won't work on some of the new machines. And it's PCI =
(2.5.1 only
supports SBUS), etc etc.
Why do users want to downgrade? The rule is so simple: Old OS - old =
hardware;
new OS - new hardware. And if you really need an old OS, go to ebay and =
buy the
apporpriate hardware for it.
