[Sunhelp] Installation Information Needed

Greetings:

Being in a startup, I have been assigned the task to install the operating system, networking, NIS+ etc on the following:

a. E220R
b. E420R

and to connect them to A1000 and an autoloader tape drive.

Primarily, the E220R will be used as a network server to serve the A1000 via NFS and the E420R will be served as the application server.

What I am seeking is the answers to the following:

a. What optimal/recommended configurations are recommended to install the OS on each of these machines. Partition information, network settings, NIS+ etc?

b. What key gotchas to watch out for?

c. A trail sheet as to approach this in a systematic fashion.

I have installed Solaris OS on several Sparc/Ultra boxes so am familiar with the basics. But have never performed NIS+ or NFS where the drives are visible on
several clients running linux and information like host,password etc. is visibile throughout the network.

Any information on this is appreciated.
