[Sunhelp] A1000 Rackmount kit

Hi,
Not using SUN racks. We get the ones provided in the hosting facility.
Having said that the racks they provide are fairly universal or at least
that's what I thought. I've seen the same ones supporting all sorts of kit
with no difficulties. The E420 rails went in ok but the A1000 kits won't.
What we will probably end up doing is "adjusting" (like with drills, hammers
etc) some of the shelves provided by the hosting centre. These won't fit in
after we've moved the uprights to accept the E420 rails.
And if you think this is bad you should see the fun we had trying to get the
HP kit in there. :-(

Joe,
I've mounted E220R's and A1000 in the same 72" Sun Enterprise server rack.
We didn't have to adjust anything on the rack, just the slight adjustments
on
the mounting
brackets made it fit. And I didn't notice any diff. in sizes between
E420R's
and E220R's.
Maybe you ordered the wrong mounting kit? or the wrong ent. rack?
Cheers.
