your framebuffer is no longer supported in Solaris 8.  the first generation GX
framebuffers aren't supported anymore (i know, i have one) but the newer ones
are.  a TGX or a TGX+ goes for pretty cheap on ebay if you need one.

you probably aren't ever going to get OpenWin running on this framebuffer unless
you downgrade to 7 or unless someone else has a better idea.
