[Sunhelp] cron vs on-line

Hi All,

Can someone please tell me why 

`date +test_%d/%m/%Y_%H:%M.log` produces  test_04/10/2000_12:00.log

when run interactively but fails (ie produces test_ ) when run from cron. It
the usual "I've seen it before but can't find it in the archives"
effort. System is E450 running Solaris 8.
