Check the n/w connectivity on your sol2.6 machine especially if the card is 
100mbps/auto. It is better to keep off the auto-negotiation.
Last but not the least, are the nfs versions same on both the m/c's?

I am facing the problem with NFS Client on sol2.5 and NFS Server on
Sol2.6 upgraded recently from sol2.5.Earlier there was no problem
accessing the NFS server (2.5) from NFS Client(2.5).Now recently after
upgradation to sol2.6 (NFS Server) i am getting messages on NFS Client
like NFS Server not responding and then after sometime it comes up and
says NFS Server Ok .
