What version of OpenBoot are you running?

Subject: [Sunhelp] Solaris 8/SPARC20 install problem

I'm a Solaris/SPARC newbie looking for some help with the installation.

I've got 2 SPARC20's that will not accept an install from either the
Solaris 8 "Installation" disk or the "Software" disk.

At the ok prompt after entering "boot cdrom" the cdrom begins reading
the disk. After about 60 seconds this error message appears:

(Can't deduct panicbuf from physical memory list) Program Terminated

The external CDROM is an Artecom. It was used to succesfully load Debian
Linux 2.2 on the 20. The other 20 has an internal CDROM and the same problem
occurs with it.

I have succesfully loaded Solaris 8 onto a SPARC10 using the Artecon CDROM
unit.

Any help or info pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks.
