If this is a 4 port card they should be named: qfe0 qfe1 qfe2 qfe3 If qfe0 and 1 are already in use and you are going to bring up qfe2: Make the appropriate entries in /etc/hosts/, /etc/hostname.qfe2 and /etc/netmasks. # ifconfig qfe2 plumb # ifconfig qfe2 <ip address> netmask <netmask #> up That should do it.
