[Sunhelp] New domain name

"Non-authoritative answer" just means that the answer was pulled from a DNS
servers cache instead of actually querying the master DNS server. How long
a DNS server is suppose to cache your entry is set based on the SOA record
(although this can be over-riden on each A record line). There is no error,
nor should there be any concern. The only way DNS can work with any
efficiency is by caching lookups.

Subject: [Sunhelp] New domain name

hi, folks,

I registed a new domain name for my computer.

If I check domain named in my computer and my ISP computer, it shows

# nslookup siteview.net
Name Server: ns1.cari.net
Address: 216.98.128.70

Name: siteview.net
Address: 209.126.145.162

But if I checked my domain named on other mechine, it shows

%B%m leonardo[23]:gangren> nslookup siteview.net
Server: dns2.scripps.edu
Address: 137.131.200.10

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: siteview.net
Address: 209.126.145.162

My question is why it shows "Non-authoritative answer"? What is the
potential troubled for this error?

I will appreciate any discussion.

Thanks a lot,

Gary
