[Sunhelp] help for Apache webserver

Hi all,
I am running sol 2.6 on Sparcserver1000.

I have downloaded 1) apache 2)gzip & 3)gcc.gz from net.

The version available on sunfreeware.com for gzip is listed as
gzip-1.2.4-sol26-intel-local

After downloading (on windows m/c & did ftp to sun m/c) i added gzip using 
#pkgadd -d ./gzip* this s/w installs as FSFgzip & gzip (intel).

Now what does this mean? Is this gzip only for intel m/c's? If so where can 
i get gzip for sun m/c?

when i tried to install gcc using command
#gunzip gcc.gz
it is giving error something like "invalid format"
Being newbie i am at loss as to how to proceed installing Apache.
Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated.
