Didn't know that Sun made Linux..... How much does that cost vs. Solaris?
Can you run the same apps on Sun Linux vs. Solaris?

Is this for Solaris? ... If it were Linux I'd suggest
tweaking the
/etc/logrotate.conf and the appropriate script in /etc/logrotate.d
and
adding 'compress' in there so your logs are compressed as well as
being
rotated weekly or so. You could also lower the number of weeks you
want
	to keep logs for too.
Does Solaris have something similar? (if not, why not? :))
.. I
know it certainly helps to keep things in line and is automatic
after
	being setup/checked and therefore painless.
