the sys-unconfig would unconfigure everything and then shutdown your system.. then when u boot up, it will ask you again for network configurations, and many other things. just be careful and see to it you know what you will be doing coz it can be a dangerous command ...

Update - I got the machine to come up after a thorough cleaning but there
was no log of any kind in /var/adm/messages since 3/15 and the successful
reboot this morning.... Any ideas?

Happy Saint Pat's Day - not.

I came in to see my Sparc on boot screen.

		Main message as follows:

configuring network interfaces: hme0 : no such device or
address
		Ifconfig:SIOCGFFLAGS:hme0: no such interface
		hme0 hme1.
		hostname:caddy
		SUNW,hme0:phy reset failure

Tried restart twice. Same thing I am going to try cleaning
her up and retry?
Any ideas? Should I get out the gun?
		Thanks,
		1st
