Hello Jermemiah,

Ok, i knew i had seen that somewhere ;)

The problem here is the powersave daemon, the "statefile" entry in
power.conf tells powerd where to save the systemstate in case of a 
system suspend.

What pmconfig tries to do is that it wants to convert the / device
(mounted as /dev/md/dsk/d1) to the prom name, but the prom doesn't know
anything about this device since its a metadevice, and the prom doesn't
know anything about metadevices, only about real devices.

I guess the reason to this is that when a system suspends it sets
the boot-file and(or?) boot-device to the choosen file so the system
will use it when it boots and restore itself to the state it had before
the suspend.

On  the other hand i dont think that you really want to use powersave 
on a server... since it's most likely that you want a server
to be up 24/7, so i would simply remove or move the S85power file from
/etc/rc2.d to prevent it from starting at boottime.
