Hi! This is what I am trying to do.
I have a modem on a Solaris 2.6 E420R server. I want to dial out using this
modem to a Mainframe. Once logged in I need to run a command on the
Mainframe which prepares it for ZMODEM protocol file transfer. Then I need
to transfer a file from the Solaris server to the Mainframe using ZMODEM.
When transfer is done I need to wait till the send back a file using ZMODEM
protocol. After this the mainframe sends a disconnect signal thus breaking
the connection.

I want to automate the above so that the transfer can take place without
needing any manual intervention.
I know that I can use csz and crz to upload/download using ZMODEM protocol
but I don't know how to detect whether the connection has taken place
correctly and the remote command has been executed so that csz can be
executed on Solaris.

Is there a way to automate all this.

I heard about a software called Pro YAM for this. Any body know about this
software?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
