TCP wrappers doesn't work with IPv6 correctly.. Disable IPv6 under Sol8
and if you're using a 64bit kernel recompile TCP wrappers with the
Sun Forte Compilers to ensure proper 64bit compliance.
The TCP Wrappers FAQ/Readme makes reference to this problem.
FYI, I've had the exact same issue.

Subject: [Sunhelp] Sol8 install network problem
i have just installed Sol8 for the first time on an Ultra 10. i have put
tcp_wrappers on this machine. when an outside machine tries to connect it
is denied, even if properly allowed by the access file, and this message
shows up in the log file:
Jul 17 12:35:25 argo2 in.telnetd[437]: [ID 947420 mail.warning] refused
connect from 0.0.0.0.
what system component is seeing everything as coming from 0.0.0.0? why
are connections being defined as this?
