set also diag-device to disk.
command:
OK setenv diag-device disk
If still doesn't work...
check the alias of the disk and the physical path of the disk.
OK Probe-scsi-all ---> this command will list the physical path of the SCSI
disk
OK devalias ----> this will list all the device aliases. Check for "disk"
and it's physical path name may looks like
/sbus at 1f,0/espdma at e,8400000/esp at e,8800000/sd at 0,0 .May not be exact. Match
disk path with path shown by probe-scsi-all.( remember probe-scsi-all will
not show you "@0,0". this is target id and slice # to boot. If it is not
same, then the Path of "disk" alias is diffrent than the path of Physically
present disk.
Create a new alias
OK show-disks -- > this will show you the present disks.. select the one
you want to boot from.. normally "a or "b"
OK nvalias mydisk ^y at 0,0 --> ( control y -- will put the path of the disk
you selected earlier, and enter @ and disk # and slice # which has boot
block.. ( normally 0,0)
OK setenv diag-device mydisk disk net
OK setenv boot-device mydisk disk net
OK reset
Hope this will help ..
