For some odd reason, I can't ftp to my other ss2 (cyprus) as root.

I got anonymous ftp sorta setup per the solaris 2 faq, but I can't see
why I can't login.

# ftp cyprus
Connected to cyprus.
220 cyprus FTP server (SunOS 5.6) ready.
Name (cyprus:root): root
331 Password required for root.
Password:
530 Login incorrect.
Login failed.
ftp>

And yes, I am typing the correct passwd.
Did I miss something I need in the nsswitch.conf?
