Cristian: Man, nothing happened to "make"... It's only bec. you don't
seem to have any C compiler (properly) installed on your machine...
(have you tried ./configure first??)

Maybe there is a C compiler on your machine but the PATH is not set
accordingly...

Anyway you can look for an already compiled gzip or gcc at
http://www.sunfreeware.com/
