[Sunhelp] Korn scripts

Hoi 

I'm a newbie on scripts.

Ex. 
#!/bin/ksh
TST=`date`
export $TST

When I run this script I get the following error
/usr/synoper/bin/testing[3]: 18: is not an identifier

I thought that the #!/bin/ksh was to run the script in the korn shell.

Can someone help me.
