I would suggest picking up a SS10 base and putting 128 MB Ram in it 
plus 2 SM41's and a HDD. This should make a basic Workstation for
development work etc, I have mine with 2 SM40's and the rest is as above
and it works quite well. I have Rational Rose, Java Workshop, Wordperfect,
StarOffice 5.1, LaTeX, GCC, Ghostscript and some other stuff like
graphical convertors installed on it, on ititial load of the applications
it is a bit slugish but ones the apps are started they run fine.
