[Sunhelp] SS2 Prom Error

I have an old Sparcstation 2 that when it boots says The IDPROM Contents
are Invalid. I get to the PROM prompt and boot to a Linux boot floppy
and it boots up, but after it uncompresses the boot image I get the
message IDPROM Unknow format type. It then returns to the PROM prompt.
Anyone know how to fix this?
