Then you have to talk to him. It might be the case thathe has a special
module to backup Oracle DB ( that comes for additional price, basic
Networker backup module also costs additional money since Sol 8 ). If you
want to disable this daemon, simply get rid of /etc/rc2.d/S95networker .

 i never installed this software , its our oracle DBA installed oracle
8.1.7 or something and this startd , might be side software got installrf
during the new oracle install ?
