I have a problem with a new system (no backup yet). The /dev directory =
was blown away. My question is how to restore /dev. Booting from cdrom =
and copying /dev to /dev on the boot disk does not work. I could =
restore /dev from tape from a similar system; this should preserve the =
links but I'm not sure of the impact on the links to /devices. Any =
ideas? =20
Thanks
