Hi Bill,
No war-mongering intended. I've got SUNs, HPs and Alphas (DEC and Compaq)
and as you say they all
have their strengths but where sheer speed is concerned the Alphas kick
derriere.

Please, no platform wars here. Every machine/OS has things it does
better than another platform - thats why we have different brands of
computers and different varieties of UNIX. Personally, I admin DEC
boxes, Sun servers, and HP-UX machines every day, and I like each
of them for different reasons...
