Here's the numbers our Sun rep. gave me a couple of years ago

Ultra1       400 VA
Ultra2       400 VA
20" monitor  295 VA
*some* peripheral VA's available if needed

we've been real happy with the APC Smart-UPS 1000, 1400 and the older 1250
They've all worked fine regulating the power as well as the (very) occasional 
blackout.
