[Sunhelp] telnet login problem

The file /etc/default/login contains the line
CONSOLE =/dev/console
By default if this line is NOT commented out the root user is restricted to
logging on ONLY from the console itself.  You should be able to su to root
after establishing a telnet session as a normal user.
