Does anybody remember the DOS editor EDLIN?
a co-worker is trying to edit a text file on a PC and has 
found that EDLIN will do a command she needs but can't
figure out how to get it to do the edits via a batch file.
The edit is to select a particular line then delete it.
Should be quite simple - any ideas for EDLIN batch jobs
or other editors for PCs that can do the same

Sorry this has NOTHING to do with Sun 
(any suggestions of a better place to ask???)
also sorry if this is a REALLY DUMB question
This list just seems to have some of the most Tech savvy
