SunOS was tricky about setting devices. First of all, the tape
drive must be supported by your kernel, Given that, you can access
the tape using the right entry under /dev (usually /dev/rst0 for
a SCSI tape). Your choices of backup software are also the usual:
tar, cpio, dump/restore, etc.
