Hi guys,
We're trying to stop multicast messages coming in from one interface. The
machine is an Ultra 5 running 2.6. Is it possible to change the setting of
that interface so that it does not accept multicast? And is it possible to
do this without installing 3rd party software? Our ifconfig -a looks like
this:
hme1: flags=863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet *.*.*.* netmask ffffffc0 broadcast *.*.*.*
Would changing the MULTICAST flag to NOMULTICAST do this and how would you
change it?
