[Sunhelp] Problem with pkgadd

This not unusual using Netscape.  There is actually a pkunzip for Unix. 
 Using that then gunzip might be a solution. The safest way is to ftp the 
pkg's as bin, I don't think you'll have any problems after that.

I don't think that the files have been properly downloaded.  That smells
like files that aren't properly unzipped.  This has happened to me before,
and it is usually solved by re-downloading the package in question.

I would try running gunzip on them anyway, and then retrying to pkgadd.  If
that doesn't work, try downloading gzip from sunfreeware.com, and then
downloading the files without uncompressing them through Netscape.  Then 
try
and gunzip them from the command line again, and then pkgadd.

I've downloaded several packages (e.g. joe-2_8-sol26-sparc-local.gz)
using my browser (Netscape) from sunfreeware.com. All files have been
unzipped during
download. Now I've got unzipped files with ".gz" extension.

If I try to install them, e.g. by typing

pkgadd -d joe-2_8-sol26-sparc-local.gz

I get this result:
pkgadd: ERROR: attempt to process datastream failed
        - bad format in datastream table-of-contents
pkgadd: ERROR: could not process datastream from
</home/spunk/joe-2_8-sol26-sparc-local.gz>

Any hints?
