[Sunhelp] pty issue

Hi, 

I run into a problem:

when I tried to remote login or telnet to one of our server(solaris 2.6). I
got:
Unable to open /dev/ptmx: no such device.

But I checked with rusers|grep server and found out that only two users
logged in to that server. The pt_cnt in /etc/system was set to 128. Why am I
getting the message?

I appreciate any advice.
