In a few rare cases I have allowed users access to root SUID scripts.
Might that work for you?

Hello folks,

I'm looking for a "su"-like tool for Solaris 2.6. that will allow "trusted 
users" to become root without being asked to type in the root passwd.
Does anybody know about such tools?
