[Sunhelp] Changing of Kernel Parameters in Soalris 2.6

Hi all ,

I have Sun Ultra 5 and Solaris 2.6 on top of it.

I am trying to change following IPC message and IPC shared memory kernel =
parameters in Solaris 2.6.

IPC Message parameters to be changed are :
=20
MSGMAP
MSGMAX
MSGMNB
MSGMNI
MSGSSZ
MSGTQL
MSGSEG
=20
IPC Shared Memory Parameters to be changed are:
=20
SHMMAX
SHMSEG
=20
I am putting following lines in /etc/system to accomplish this task.

For IPC Message parameter MSGMAP=20
=20
set msgsys:msginfo_msgmap=3D100 [ As described in the Solaris manual ]
=20
For IPC shared memory parameter SHMMAX
=20
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=3D67108864 [ As described in the Solaris =
Manual ]
=20
And reconfigure and reboot the machine.
=20
Now, while it is able to change SHMMAX , it does not change value of any =
of the IPC message parameters. Incidentally it shows values of all IPC =
messages parameters as 0.

Does any body have any clue about it ?
