There is an interesting link about SUN NVRAM. Check it before doing anything
else:
<http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-nvram-hostid.faq.html>
I've managed to do this for an SPARCstationELC NVRAM with a lost passwd ,
using an functional SPARCstation2.
If you have another functional system (the same type would be ideal ), you
can solve your problem by booting up the functional system and go to the
Open Boot prompt ok>
Than replace the PROM of the functional system with the PROM that have the
lost passwd and disable the security mode.
THIS MUST BE DONE WITHOUT POWERING OFF THE SYSTEM AND CAN BE A DANGEROUS
OPERATION FOR BOTH SYSTEM AND PROMs !!!
Good luck !
