[Sunhelp] default lp problem

Here is our problem:
Users don't have use of default printer.  When user enters "lpstat -d"  lpstat
returns nothing.  root has use of default printer.  when root enters "lpstat
-d"  lpstat returns the default printer name.  I've changed default printers,
and problem persists.  we've stopped and started scheduler,  rebooted machine.
problem is still there.  Any ideas would be helpful.  We think it might be a
permissions or ownership problem?
