In my mind, this is why:

There are two reasons to duplicate a solution for a help request:

1. Somebody has a different solution for the problem, and he think that this 
might help you;

2. There is something more on a solution already posted;

3. Delays in mail delivery makes you belive that nobody else has posted an 
answer.

Redundant answers is a time-cost luxury that we cannot afford very often, as 
you well know.
