I am not sure about this question:
Scenario:
There are two computers A and B.
A sends a packet to B for which it expects an acknowledgement.
B has received the packet.
B sends a positive acknowledgement.
But, the flag bit which is supposed to be 1 for Positive ack. becomes 0 due
to some link problems such as attenuation.
In this case, A has to resend the packet.
Now, What will happen to B? I have been told the system B has chances of
having a network crash. Why?
Can someone help me on this?
