[Sunhelp] Power Supplies in SS2

The fan in my SS2 is making a lot of noise (gets annoying).
At the moment, having a really bad migraine (yet I can type this message),
it's getting more annoying.

Are these small muffin fans easy to replace?

If I disconnect the fan, will the machine seriously overheat like SGI's do?
I still have the fan near the HD.  I tried the usual routines of compressed air
to no avail.
