Okay, status:
I can't compile ghostview worth a damn. *laf*
The bins that I've dl'd from Metalab
(http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/packages/solaris/sparc/)
.. seem to have an issue with the 'older' libs that I have on my poor 2.6
system.. even though it's a binary that is meant to run on a Sol 2.6 box.
Someone at Sunsite is on crack =o
# ldd /usr/local/bin/ghostview
libXaw.so.6.1 => (file not found)
libXmu.so.6.0 => (file not found)
libXt.so.6.0 => (file not found)
libSM.so.6.0 => (file not found)
libICE.so.6.3 => (file not found)
libXext.so.6.3 => (file not found)
libX11.so.6.1 => (file not found)
libm.so.1 => /usr/lib/libm.so.1
libsocket.so.1 => /usr/lib/libsocket.so.1
libnsl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libnsl.so.1
libc.so.1 => /usr/lib/libc.so.1
libdl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
libmp.so.2 => /usr/lib/libmp.so.2
libXaw is apparently only one of many that I don't have (well, I have
older versions .. the ones that *ship* with Sol2.6) .. and 2.7 apparently.
What is 6.1/6.3 part of.. X11R6.4?
Is it even normal to want/need to compile it for Solaris 2.x? What am I
going to break in doing so..?
