[Sunhelp] Curious NFS mounting problem

Just a guess, but I think its the "hard" option
machine1:/export/machine1 - /mnt/machine1 nfs - yes rw,nosuid,hard,bg
Try this:
machine1:/export/machine1 - /mnt/machine1 nfs - yes rw,nosuid,soft,bg
